Greatest Show on Earth? [Sami]

Castiel stayed quiet in the back of the car. Feeling claustrophobic almost. He was use to not staying in the same place for long. The ride had thankfully not been that far, but it felt long for Cass. He had noticed that Dean had been driving a little bit faster then his normal fast speed. Probably because he was in the car. Though he could just be getting tired. There was always that. Humans got tired. They arrived, and Cass had looked at the doors of the motel. He let the boys go inside, and he waited outside in the cool night air. The stars were glowing and he could hear the creek of animals and bugs beyond the line of trees that weren't that far. The motel itself to him, smelt bad. His mind was still back at the circus. He wondered when the boys would want to go take another look. They would probably go investigating tomorrow in their FBI garb. He wondered what he would be doing then. From outside he had heard Dean ask for the room on the first floor toward the back. Castiel poofed into the room. He looked around the dark room. Feeling uneasy for no particular reason that he could tell. He didn't think anything bad had been going on in this room. Maybe there had been a history to this circus Or possibly it was angry spirits who had gotten killed on one of those thrill rides. He still didn't understand why a human would want to go on one of those and probably die.

But why would an angry spirit kill that way? Maybe it was an ex-acrobat? He had still been deep in thought about it when Sam and Dean opened the door and entered. He put his duffel bag on the bed the practically jumped out of his skin when he saw Castiel. "Geez Cas! How many times do I have to tell you? A little warning would be nice!" Oh right. He forgot. He always forgot things that weren't appropriate to humans. Or maybe it just was like that with Dean. Dean had looked very startled where Sam had looked rather amused. "You were right Dean. He found us." He looked between both of them when Dean had given his little brother a 'not funny' expression. He was getting better at reading their expressions. What they meant. He was trying to get a little better with the emotion thing as well. "My apologize," he said. Having ignored his statement, probably still slightly annoyed at him, Dean spoke. "Well let's rule some things out." For a moment he thought Dean was talking about him, asking him to leave, but then he quickly came back to the realization that he had been talking about the circus. "Sulfur or hex bags at the crime scene?" Cas looked toward Sam, he shook his head. He hadn't thought it would be demons. But he hadn't thought of witches being a possible culprit. Since there was no hex bags it obviously wasn't. "Would angels do anything like this?" He thought about it for a moment. "I don't think so. Angels aren't really ones for making a show. Unless you're Gabriel." Thoughtfully he suggested, "I think you should look up suspicious deaths, or any deaths of staff. It happened on the high wire. Maybe an acrobat died? Or a ghost of someone who died on one of those unstable rides?"

Castiel noticed that Dean hadn't particularly liked the fact that he had mentioned Gabriel. Changing the subject slightly Dean had said, "Ok, the two of you and your circus issues need to stop. Sam, the clowns are not going to kill you. Cas, the rides are not gong to kill you either. They're fun." Cass's eyebrows moved close together with confusion. He looked at Sam. Clowns? They were just humans wearing face paint. They did look ridiculous. He didn't understand the concept behind clowns either. He assumed that they were funny? "What lead you to be afraid of clowns, Sam? Usually fear comes from a traumatic experience." He asked with a tilted head, it was more curiosity then anything. He didn't sound as if he was making fun of him. "Oh like your flying fear is so much more reasonable." Said Sam. "Planes crash." He then looked at Dean, "Dean, you are more likely to die getting struck by lightning then dying in a plane crash." he commented. Then before Sam could comment again, Dean grabbed his computer and started typing away and looking at information. "Nothing noticeable. So i guess we're ruling out angry spirits too." Castiel looked over at the computer screen from where he was standing. Dean was right. Nothing of interest had happened there lately. "Any more ideas?"
