Looking up Lore ((Open for anyone!))

Charak entered the library at a leisurely pace. He was in a hurry - he'd just 'dealt' with a couple of humans only a block or two away - but he figured that the last place anyone on his trail would be looking was so near the scene of the crime. And, with the way he was acting and dressing, he blended in easily. He'd donned a plain dark red t-shirt and a brown jacket over his jeans and sneakers, and chucked in a pair of glasses for good measure. He gave a small nod to the smiling library clerk when he'd entered and made a B-line for the young adult novels section, planning to waste an hour or so to let the heat die down before moving out. He was had picked a book from the shelf and was heading over a table to read a bit when he saw her.

So he didn't know who or what she was, but there was always a certain mark left by the supernatural on people. They were different that your average civilian. Changed. And this person was surrounded by books on angels. He felt the heart of the human body he was occupying skip a beat with his nervousness. There was a very, very good chance that she was a hunter. And, chances were, she would notice something about him too. He just hoped he could pass for human. Impersonating a hunter wasn't a great idea, but, what with the bodies a few blocks down, he couldn't risk appearing suspicious to a hunter. And he was too close already. If he turned and left right now, she would undoubtedly notice his hurried exit and the way he looked just slightly off from the world around him, the sign that he was a part of their world. And hunters were brutish. There was no doubt she would act, and rashly. There were enough dead people in this town.

He grimaced, before quickly twisting his face into a neutral expression as he sat down at a table near her, making sure that he was facing her. The demon opened his book, paying minimal attention to the beginning of the story. It sounded like it was about young love or something equally stupid. Though his eyes were focused on the text in front of him, his mind was focused in his peripheral vision, on the hunter - for that was almost undoubtedly what she was (what else could she be?) - and he waited. Perhaps she wold think him normal. Perhaps she would think him a hunter who was uninterested in conversation - boy were there a lot of those - but on some level he feared that she would see straight through his meatsuit and into the demon that lay within. But that was stupid.
