Isaac was no stranger to close calls but as of late he had been near constantly distracted which made hunting significantly less breezy. Morgan was on his mind more often than not and so was his guilt of his transgressions against her memory. Or... something. He couldn't put into words what he was feeling or why beyond guilt.

However, when it came time to hunt a creature he had never hunted before, in a region is shouldn't technically exist according to what little lore he had, Morgan was proving almost deadly. A Wendigo was an incredibly uncommon sight or story, and so far he'd only ever heard of one and that had been up in its usual territory around the Minnesota and Canadian border. But they were several hundred miles from there in more than one direction, yet all signs pointed to a Wendigo.

Isaac personally hated it. That a creature could mimic human speech perfectly to hunt its prey was so unsettling that it even gave Isaac pause. It was the mimicry that had given it away to Isaac, though he had excruciatingly limited lore on the stupid things, which is what brought him to the ship today, Once Upon A Time. He was several cities away from the danger zone now and after spending a week surveying the territory and collecting a few rather painful souvenirs, Isaac had concluded he needed more information.

Once Upon A Time hadn't been his first choice, but it was the only shop that sounded remotely like it had anything juicy on creatures that should not be. It would of course just be stories but those stories often held hidden clues. From his connections he had been told that fire could keep it at bay and possible kill it, and that there was some sort of powder that would hold it back but Isaac needed something a little more concrete on the stabby-shooty-death front.

Stepping into the shop seemed to startle the clerk who knocked over a rather substantial stack of books. Muttering a quick apology for frightening the poor guy, Isaac rushed over and helped collect a few of the books and sat them in a new pile. Between the bookstore name and the way the gentleman behind the counter spoke, Isaac was beginning to feel a lot better about his odds of finding something worthwhile here. That or maybe this man could help him locate that which he sought.

"Ah, hey, don't worry about it. Didn't mean to startle you. But, yeah, you might be able to help me out. You got anything on Native American spirits? Spirits of the less than adorable kind? Trying to help my little cousin out with a report and he mentioned something about Wendigos and stuff, so I'm tryin' to help," Isaac lied, glancing about the bookstore as he spoke before finally settling his eyes on the man across the counter when he spoke the word Wendigo.

Sometimes you had luck with the eccentric clerks and so forth- they seemed to be more susceptible to the supernatural than most even if they didn't fully understand all the things that lurked in the shadows.
