"Alex and I are not together, Harry," she reminded him. "We are also not dating." Serenity had to admit she was less flustered by thought and more intrigued. It was hard not to think back to that kiss. Though she'd endlessly blamed Harry for what happened that day (and for being so damn mean), she was grateful that that'd happened. It was something, she couldn't really ignore the fact. She could regret, however, that Alex seemed a little off ever since. She couldn't say it was a good sign either. He just seemed uncomfortable and she did what she could to ignore it and move on.
"Didn't we talk about you and keeping your clothes on?" she asked before laughing. The suggestion to invite Alex had been thoughtless. She didn't take into account just how much Harry could make fun of her for mentioning it. "I just thought it might be nice to invite him, is all…..It's called being nice?" she offered, hoping he would understand. Something about his joking tone was easier to identify. This was probably the tenth time he claimed to be nice in their entire friendship. "Absolutely adorable, Harry," she said sarcastically before rolling her eyes at him.
She did not answer him about dinner, too excited to speak. They were close to the bakery, she could feel it. Or at least she thought she could feel it. She was getting a little too excited by the thought of eating sweets again. Her 'vegan' diet was extremely exhausting. Half the food was inedible to her and she wished she'd come up with a better lie to avoid sugar. Even Griffy believed her! Vegan cookies were such a crime against nature.
As Harry flirted with the salesgirl, Serenity inspected the treats behind their glass cases. Her eyes lit up as she glanced over each plate of sweets. Resisting the urge to buy all of them, she pinpointed the cupcakes she most wanted to buy. These sweet vanilla cupcakes had a very generous helping of frosting on each treat that made her mouth water. Harry said her name and she nearly jumped before just pointing at the treat and politely asking the girl if she could just take one of them. She specifically indicated the one with the most frosting.
"Thank you!" she exclaimed at Harry with a brief hug before receiving the treat. She began eating as soon as she had it in her hands. Walking out after all was settled in the shop, the fairy finished off her frosting before heading out to stand behind a parked car. She peeked out past it to see if there were any cars coming, telling Harry to hurry up because he was 'burning daylight'.
