SWITCHING ACCOUNTS / LOGGING IN

Some of you may have multiple user accounts, and there's an easy way to switch between them.  At the bottom, right hand side of the screen there's a little menu.  If you click the first button it will take you to an accounts page and you can click the account you want to sign into.  The second button will take you to your Global Accounts page with proboards, and if you are on multiple Proboards sites, you can switch between them easily there, and even see notifications, recent posts, PMs on all your sites.  Lastly, the third button which is a wheel icon will allow you to adjust any settings to your global account with Proboards.  If you can't find the menu, this is what it looks like: Clicky

REGISTERING

When you register it is recommended that you use the same email for all your accounts.  This will allow you to use the switch account feature, and you can manage all of your accounts easily.  When you click the  "Register" button, it will ask you for an email.  Just enter in the email you want to use - if you have an account on the forum already, simply enter the same email you used for that account.  It should then recognize that you already have an email in use on the forum (this is only if you have an existing account).  If you're registering for the first time, it will just continue the registration process.

Next it will ask for a username, it's easier to pick something like your character's first or last name, or even the full name of your character for this.   However, you can pick anything you want, it isn't recommended to use swear words or random numbers / letters because it may seem to use you are a spammer. 

After that just fill in the rest of the information and it should register and link your account to any other accounts you might have on the forum.


TAGGING

Tagging an account is easy, just use the following code:
@username here

Where it says "username" you want to use the name you picked when you registered the account, not your display name, which is what you change it to after you get sorted / join.

In your profile under settings, you can click to turn "Drafts" on, which will save your posts as you're writing them.  That way if you accidentally click out of the browser, or the forum logs you out after you post it will save it.  No more losts posts!  When you create a thread again a pop up window should appear with the content you previously wrote, and you can tell it to use that saved draft in your post.

If you're a fan of those posting templates and such, you can insert those into the settings area, under the field that lets you pick between "BBCode" or "Preview" tab.  If you click "BBCode, you can post your template code there, or post any BBC codes you want it to automatically insert for you.  Click save changes and your template should pop up for you in your post.  Switch to the "Preview" tab for easier editing. :]
