Zelda rolled her eyes and pushed her chair out away from her desk. She moved over to her bedroom door and flung it open. “Excuse me, will you all please be quiet? In case you forgot, today is my day off and I fully intended on using it to catch up on some much needed research,” she said, before her three roommates muttered apologies. She huffed back into her room and slammed the door behind her. Zelda wasn’t quite sure why she expected them to stay quiet, but the noise just built up again over the next few minutes. Rolling her eyes, she threw a few books into her bag and stormed out of the house.
A little while and several blaring Beethoven symphonies later, she arrived at the park. It was around mid-afternoon, so the sun was still fairly high in the sky. It surprisingly helped assuage her frustration and a small smile actually crossed her face. The park was rather crowded, but she did her best to not allow that to bother her. She pushed her sunglasses a bit further up on her nose before she dropped down into one of the few, empty iron benches that were littered around the park.
Zelda hadn’t come across a new tome to study in quite awhile. She told Alex to notify her whenever something that might strike her interest was sold to his book shop, Once Upon a Time, but there was nothing so far. There was a part of her that was suspicious that he wasn’t telling her to try to get her to focus on something else, other than her research. It was something that the majority of the family was doing, which Zelda truly didn’t understand. She wasn’t doing anything wrong. She wasn’t harming anyone. So what was the problem?
