Being the head flower arranger for a popular floral shop certainly did keep Olivia pretty busy. She was happy to do it, though. It was an excuse for her to focus on things that didn’t circulate around the problems in her life. Besides, how could she complain about being surrounded by beautiful flowers every day? Flowers were one of Olivia’s favorite thing, hence why she chose this as he career. Unlike some of the other people in her family, she didn’t necessarily need a big, super successful job in order to be satisfied with her life. She was completely satisfied with making the world beautiful with her bouquets.
On this particular day, Olivia was in one of the many parks in the town of Augusta, Maine, setting up bouquets for a small wedding. “Olivia, Olivia!” came the panicked voice of the maid of honor,”The baby’s breath is not on the truck!” Olivia spun around from fixing the flowers around the wooden arch at the altar. “What? I’m sure I brought it with me,” she said, tucking her hair behind her ears and moving into the back of her van. With a bit of digging, she found the box towards the front seats. The poor maid of honor was probably just too frazzled to search correctly. Thankfully, the baby’s breath was the last touch before the ceremony could start.
She was surprisingly not in the mood to watch the ceremony, so she decided to wander off into the forest area of the park to examine some of the wild flowers in the area. She had to keep telling herself that she wouldn’t be able to pick them, despite how much she wanted to. As she ventured through the wooded area, she saw a flower that she’d never seen before. It was wild, of course, and the flower was very small and umbrella shaped with a very small, pink center. Smiling, she pulled out her phone and snapped a picture.
However, her smile slowly slipped off her face when she heard several sticks snap behind her. When she spun around, though, no one was there. She was quite a bit away from the wedding ceremony by now, so this unnerved her. “Hello? Is someone there?” she asked, looking around.
