ooc; SEASON FIVE. EPISODE THREE.
Sam hitched a ride with the truck driver from River Pass Colorado to a cheap motel in Garber Oklahoma. "Thank you." He paid the man in a crisp fifty dollar bill before pulling his backpack and computer case free, slinging them both over one shoulder and heading for the front desk. The first thing he did once all settled into his new room was to take the half a dozen fake badges still on his person (most of his badges were still in the box in the Impala's glove compartment), toss them into the sink and light them on fire. The next thing he did was go out to find a job. A normal, civilian job. The further and faster he could get away from his old life, the better.
Fortunately, it only took him about an hour to locate a place in town that was hiring. A local bar which was in need of a new busboy, and although it wasn't necessarily glamorous or well paying, Sam took it nonetheless. He was introduced to the main waitress Lindsey as well as the bartender Hank and was then set to work. He chopped lemons and limes for the bar, he cleaned off tables, and did numerous other small insignificant tasks.
But at least he was out.
