Dean glanced over his shoulder at Teddy when she wanted clarification as to why they couldn't leave and who he needed to talk to. "Just come on" was his unhelpful counter-response before stepping through the doorway and onto the front porch outside. As far as he could see in either direction there was no one. But there were a few military-type trucks parked a little ways up the road so there were definitely more people than just himself living at this camp. He moved off down the porch steps, speaking to the following Teddy as he went. "I'm really sorry to have dragged you into this. I know it's probably freaking you out. It's freaking ME out" he admitted. He was just pretty used to angels pulling dick moves on him by now and was a little better at hiding his emotions than most.
"Hey Dean." Dean stopped walking, hearing his name from a familiar voice. Chuck was approaching from the opposite direction, holding a clipboard. "Can I talk to you for a second?" Dean's eyes widened marginally, unsure of how to play this. He could tell Chuck right away that he wasn't the Dean he needed to be speaking to or he could just go with it. He chose the latter instinctively, giving Teddy a subtle shrug before clearing his throat and nodding in consent. "Um, sure...hi Chuck." "Hi" he repeated breathlessly, scanning his clipboard. "So listen, we're pretty good on food but we're down to next to nothing on...who's that?" He had lifted his eyes and noticed Teddy.
"Oh, that's Teddy" Dean answered at once, but was stumped as to how to continue the introduction. "She's um...a friend." Which was true of course.
Unless you asked himself.
