Hi there! My name is Annie and I am so super stoked and excited to be sharing my blog with the world about the day that I got to visit the Supernatural set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In case you can't tell, I am absolutely obsessed with this show. I've watched all the episodes from the pilot until the 200th episode that aired last week and I am anxiously awaiting the 201st. I love the chemistry between all of the actors, even the guest stars, but especially the relationship between Jared and Jensen. I believed they were brothers from day one. The combined love and fighting is dead on. I have three brothers so I should know. Anyway, about six weeks ago, I noticed there was a contest being put on by the CW. They wanted all supernatural fans to do a little LARPing of their own, since that was the focus of last week's 200th episode.

The goal was to, either by yourself or with friends, perform a scene from any of the supernatural episodes that had aired thus far, which was up to the end of season nine by that point. The segment had to be fifteen minutes at the very least, it had to include costumes and props and you couldn't be reading from anything. You had to have your lines memorized. It was really to weed out all the pretend fans and see who remained. Once it was filmed, you were supposed to upload it to this specifically designed website for the contest, sit back and wait.

My oldest brother is in college for film editing so I had a slight advantage. As soon as my friends and I had wrapped on the shooting of our scene, I took it to Andy and asked for his help before submitting it. I was notified two weeks ago that I had won and to be quite honest, my mother had to rush up the stairs like the house was on fire to make sure I was ok. That's how loud my scream was. I just couldn't believe it.

I flew into Vancouver from Boston...an eleven hour plane right I might add...on Thursday night and a car was waiting at the airport to take me to my hotel room. "Welcome to Canada Miss. Hawthorne" my driver said politely. "Thank you!" I was still waiting for all of this to be a dream because it was just too surreal. But nothing, not even lying in a king sized bed, eating chocolate and watching supernatural episodes on a 100" flat screen television was as surreal as the next morning. It was misty and overcast when my driver (Max) picked me up at 7am. My first stop was the cafeteria for some breakfast and it was here that Eric Kripke himself sought me out. I had just taken my seat at one of the many circular tables with a bowl of cereal and glass of orange juice when he sat down across from me and I swear I nearly choked. "Eric Kripke. It's wonderful to meet you and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed your winning entry." He gave me an approving smile. "Anyway" he continued briskly. "I want to introduce you to the person who will be taking you around set today and giving you some behind the scenes trivia."

It was at this moment that I first laid eyes upon a cast member of the show. Erica Carroll, who plays the angel Hannah, joined us at my table with a friendly smile. "Hi Annie, I'm Erica. I loved your video!" I beamed. It was just so incredibly surreal ((I know I've already used the word twice but trust me it will happen several more times)) to be sitting here chatting with Eric Kripke and a woman who I'd seen on television just two weeks prior. Eric tapped the table with his knuckles and rose. "Well I'm off. I'm sure I'll see you around Annie. Have fun. Seeya Erica." And he was gone.

Erica faced me expectantly. "So any questions before I show you hair and make-up trailers?" "Um...no, I think I'm good." I'm not sure how I was managing to sound so casual and laid back but somehow I was doing it. It got a little harder when, five minutes later, Erica and I were approaching a large white trailer with the words 'hair & makeup' printed on one side and Mark Sheppard came sauntering up from the other direction. "Who's your friend" he wanted to know and it was so weird to hear him speak in a genuinely nice tone rather than a smug 'Crowley' one. "This is Annie. She won the LARPing contest." Erica put one hand on the small of my back and nudged me closer. "Say hi. He won't bite." "That has yet to be determined" joked another voice as the trailer's door opened, out stepped Misha Collins, and it's a small miracle that I wasn't a puddle on the floor. Three Supernatural stars were surrounding me and I wasn't dreaming. "They're ready for Mark" he added before turning to me and holding out one hand. "Nice to meet you Annie. Your video was incredible." "Um...thanks" I finally managed to say as Mark gave us all a cheery wave and vanished into the hair and make-up trailer. "So what have you shown her so far" Misha wanted to know. Erica gestured at the trailer. "This."
