ooc; SEASON TWO. EPISODE SIX.
"Ash would have called us if he had any more news" Dean pointed out as they got out of the Impala at the Roadhouse. They were clearly the only customers as it was nine in the morning and the only other car parked out front was Ellen's. Sam didn't care. Ever since the case with Andy and Webber, he'd been itching to get back on the demon trail. And Ash was the only person he knew who could help them out with that right now. Hence, the trip to Harvelle's. "I know Dean" he replied impatiently. "I just want to"- But whatever he wanted to do, Dean wouldn't find out, at least not at that moment, due to the crash from inside, followed by quite a bit of incoherent screaming.
The brothers swapped looks, the demon discussion put on hold. "Cat fight on aisle two" Dean remarked as they headed for the front doors. "I am your mother and I don't have to be reasonable" Ellen was shouting as the door swung shut behind them. She whipped her head around and gave them a short, "bad time, boys", to which they both nodded understandingly. "Sorry" Sam apologized, backing up. "We rarely drink before ten anyway" was Dean's comment with a tight lipped smile. "Wait!" Jo marched around her mother, approaching the boys. "I want to know what they think." She stopped a few feet away, holding a bulky file. "Three weeks ago, a girl in Pennsylvania disappeared from a locked apartment and she wasn't the first. Six women have vanished from the same apartment over the last 80 years. The cops haven't put together the pattern yet since each disappearance happens every one or two decades." The brother swapped an interested look.
It certainly sounded like a case.
