New Faces

One of the things that decided to start going threw her mind was how she would get acquainted with people around here. And what the town folk were like. So far no one had started any problems, which was good. And for a bar usually problems were somewhere around the corner because that's what they usually thrive over. The blonde saw movement in the chair next to her and looked from the corner of her eye to see who he was. She could tell his hand was out and he was getting ready to either introduce himself or hit on her, and number one was the better option considering she hadn't eaten yet and not eating made her a bit of a diva. 'Be friendly' she thought to herself and finally turned to the male, studying his face before letting her hand meet his. His style of introducing himself was different then normal people but it wasn't something she was too skeptical about so she shook his. "Chloe... I could say the same." A small hint of confusion was lathered in her voice as she dropped her hand but she didn't let the confusion show on her face. As she heard the clink of a dish on the bar table she looked and saw her burger and the sweet tea she had ordered.

'You're welcome'

For a moment she had thought it was the waiter, and she was a second from responding before she realized it was Dean again. Her green eyes studied his face again for a second as she waited for him to explain, and when he did she couldn't help but let out a small laugh. "Oh those are totally my type. The sweat is such a turn on." Her voice was laced with complete sarcasm as she raised both her eyebrows at the same time before turning to her plate full of food. Was it rude to eat while someone was attempting to strike up a conversation? Chloe didn't know the answer nor did she want to, she was hungry. So she took a bite of her burger, and boy was it amazing. After she chewed and swallowed she took a sip of her drink and looked back at Dean. "Well this bar definitely has one of the best burgers. I think I might like this town." A warm smile made it's way to her lips. Suddenly she took out her phone, looking down at it and looking up the address of the motel a few blocks away. The apartment that her job had payed for was being renovated and worked out with the company, so she was asked to find her own place for the time being. Her eyes met Deans as she brought her phone up to show him the screen. "You're from around here right?" She questioned first before continuing as she had assumed it since she saw him so comfortably sitting in the bar. "Would you happen to know where this motel is?" The blonde questioned, laying the phone on the table as she took another bit of her burger and washed it down with more sweet tea.

One thing Chloe had learned form her field of works was when all emotions were gone the eyes usually revived it back. Licking her bottom lip she studied his eyes intensely, leaning a bit forward as she rose an eyebrow before smiling and leaning back to her seat. "I'm up for making someone's life." She laughed lightly. Her vibrant green eyes looked back at her burger as she took another bite of it and continued to until their wasn't much left. She took another sip of her tea, something about it reminded her of home. The blonde looked back at Dean, nodding lightly, and as she went to pick up her phone the name 'Agent Medford'' came up on her phone she let out a slightly aggravated sigh. Putting the phone to her ear she braced herself. "Agent Bekens. You aren't busy correct?" The tone of her chiefs loud voice told her that even if she wasn't busy her answer should be no. "No Sir... I'm not." Her voice was noticeably more concentrated. "Theirs been a death. You need to get down here as soon as possible. The house is at (Address)" This shouldn't have surprised her, but her gut feeling was off. "Is their any conclusion of what could have happened?" Her tone dropped along with her sound so she wasn't being loud at all. "We're trying to conclude it as a suicide... Just get down here." And with that her boss had hung up.  "Damnitt." She cussed under her breath before putting her phone down. This town was known for some things, but suicide wasn't one of them.  She looked over at Dean, biting her bottom lip before placing a fake smile on her face. She could ask for directions and possibly get their quicker, but this place was in the middle of the woods and that was enough for her to try and keep the town folk out of it. "I have to get going... It was a pleasure seeing you Dean. Maybe I'll see you again sometime?" She questioned but part of her had a feeling this wouldn't be the last time she would be seeing. Chloe stood up taking a deep breath before bolting out of the bar and into her car. She sat in it for a few moments attempting to put the address into her GPS.

(Continuation of previous, now in the woods)




Chloe had finally got the address into the GPS and followed all the direction towards the woods. She didn't know what to expect, but something was off. Suspecting a suicide? Unlikely in her mind but suicides happened everywhere, and with enough evidence maybe she could fall in line with that explanation. Taking a sharp turn down an old dusty road she realized she couldn't go in wearing what she was wearing, so she stopped her car and quickly swapped her clothes in the back seat. Perhaps it wasn't the best thing to do in the dark forest but she didn't really have a choice. Sighing Chloe began her drive and was soon met with bright lights of the common police and her squad of Agents. Getting out of her car the blonde took the badge out of her breast pocket, the perks of wearing her tight black work blazer. She showed it to the people guarding the house with the DO NOT CROSS tape. She walked over it and met up with her boss. "Where's the body?" Chloe questioned first and foremost, hoping to get the question out of the way. And the answer wasn't to far behind as she walked up to a body shape covered in a white sheet. "We can't let the police see this. They are taking our word for it tonight... But you need to keep this on the down low." Her boss nodded and walked off, and that lead Chloe to another question. Why? What could be so bad about it? She had seen plenty of dead bodies before but once lifting up the white blanket that to was answered. "Oh my-" She didn't finish as her eyes looked in horror at the body below her, they obviously hadn't moved it from it's place of where it was found. One eye of the victim was no longer their, perhaps scraped out as the throat was slashed in multiple places. One of the ears were ripped off and lower down John Doe had cuts down his chest. One of his fingers were missing. This wasn't a suicide. And it sure looked like one crazy as hell animal attack. "Agent Medford!" She called in her official voice, keeping her eyes on the body. This was what she was trained in, not only looking for clues to lead to a suspect but to search the body and help come to a conclusion.

Whatever was going on was freaking her out, an odd suspicion would point everything to an animal attack, but this definitely wasn't a bear. Her mind was lost as someone came up behind her. The voice was familiar and as she turned to see Dean, an eyebrow raised. "Agent...." She didn't know his last name and she made it clear as she continued her look of mild confusion before putting her hand up and looking around to see why Agent Medford hadn't came, he could have possibly left with one of the police, their was already 3 Agents on the case. "Would you mind if I saw your badge?" Chloe questioned, knowing that this wasn't the time or place for lolly gagging and in order to get down to serious business she wanted to be sure whoever she was showing the body to was part of her field of work, not just a nosey police officer or a random person who managed to sneak on scene without getting caught. Dean looked the part, even though he wasn't exactly in the most formal attire, but the underlying badass helped him out. "Obviously this guy died with a fight, the neck wound couldn't have even been part of a suicide. Not to mention-" Chloe pulled it down a little more to expose the chest. "This." The scratches down his chest were deep and vibrant. "Oh... And keep this on the down low. We can't let the police know about it." She muttered looking back up at Dean, waiting for what he thought about it.

Chloe shot him a glare, looking in his eyes with a particularly harsh gaze just to check
if he was lying or not. Nothing seemed out of the ordanary, but she had never heard anyone
of the name Ian being called Dean, she also wasn't going to question it with a dead body
so close by. The blonde bit her bottom lip as she watched Dea- Ian bend down to prod the
torse of the man. It was surprising he didn't make a face, making his story all that
more believable, but something was still off. Call it another gut feeling. "It means someones
hiding something. It's obvious it wasn't a suicide, but when something is worth covering up
that's one of the main stories... I would've at least gone with animal attack." She sighed,
knowing that something was wrong witht his picture. "I need to go look for clues inside the
house.. You can join me if you want, two eyes are better then one. Or continue looking at the
body... Just cover it up before you walk away from it." And with that Chloe had turned on the
heel of her sneaker, walking towards the house. "Agent Bekens. It hasn't been investigated yet-"
One of the new guys had tried to stop her but she put her hand up to signal him to stop talking.
She was new to this field too, but she wouldn't be stopped from doing what she had to. "That's
all right." Chloe drew her gun, pushing the saftey off and poping the door open with her foot.
An uneasy feeling had came onto her, mostly because it was dark outside and dark in the woodened
home... And the creaky floor. Attempting to flip one of the light switches on it was clear the
power was out- poor guy probably didn't even see what had attacked him. And maybe that was for
the better. The blonde held her breath, grabbing the flashlight that hooked onto her pistol and
turning it on, a narrow light now shinning towards the messed up house. "This was no a suicide."
The young woman breathed to herself, walking further into the dark and creepy house. It was clear
she was in the living room, a slashed TV screen, furniture ripped up and shredded along the
floor... And blood. Blood everywhere.

The voice of Dean had spoked her a little, but she kept a still face as if she had never seen him before shining the light back over the walls. "They still have time to change the story, simply saying they didn't have enough evidence to back up the suicide but they had enough for an animal attack and this will be put behind the whole town.... Meaning no justice for John Doe over their." Chloe's voice was surpassingly caring for not knowing the guy, but in the back of her mind that could have been anyone's father, brother, husband etc. To be honest she didn't know how to explain this one, it was way to gruesome for a bear, their was no broken entry point. It was as if he had a large pet go rabid. "What do you think?" The blonde turned back to Ian/Dean, needing to hear someone else's voice on this so she knew she wasn't the only one completely lost. Maybe he could provide her something she had missed, a clue that would link up. Maybe the door was the slightest bit cracked, she had missed something on the floor. Or maybe it was a simple animal attack. All she knew is that whatever did it needed to be stopped before someone else got hurt.
