Dean was livid. He wasn't sure he'd EVER been this angry with his brother...and that was saying a lot. Of course it also begged the question, was it the mark making him this angry or was it all pure Dean? He was certainly justified, mark or not, in his anger. Sam had deliberately ignored him, gone behind his back, and in the process gotten someone he loved like a sister killed. So at the present moment Dean didn't care if the mark was affecting his level of rage. He simply welcomed it.

After massacring the Stynes and nearly killing Castiel, Dean was sitting on his motel room bed, literally shaking. He flexed and clenched his fingers a few times, trying to steady the erratic pounding of his amped-up heart. When that didn't work, he rose, grabbed a beer from the kitchen, twisted off its cap and downed the whole thing in under thirty seconds. The shaking immediately began to slow.

Closing his eyes and drawing in a deep breath, Dean dropped the empty bottle with a clank into the trash can, joining the other dozen already there. Then he reached into one pocket and pulled out his phone. He wasn't sure why. He had no intentions of calling Sam, but he supposed he was just interested in seeing how many more missed calls he'd received. And the answer was six.

But one of those six wasn't actually from Sam he discovered. Frowning, he listened to the voicemail, which was from Elizabeth, a hunter he'd only met twice in his life. Had Dean been feeling more like himself he would have called her back, letting her know it really wasn't a good time and that she should call someone else to help her out of whatever mess she'd gotten herself into. But Dean wasn't feeling like himself. To put it mildly. So off he went.

When Elizabeth asked who it was, Dean said nothing, simply raised an eyebrow and waited. And sure enough, after only a few seconds the door was opened, granting him access. Dean brushed past Elizabeth, turning to face her once he'd reaches the center of the room, his expression a touch on the edgy side.

"You called?"
