Introductions //Castiel//

Teddy looked up as she felt someone's presence in the shop. It was a man in the trenchcoat. She hadn't seen him before. He must've been new in town. And by the way he was acting he did seem a little strange. She watched his every move carefully with her skillful eyes. She had been trained from a young age to always look for any possible threats... and this guy seemed different and Teddy didn't like that one bit.

Teddy watches as he picked up a bag of chips and opened them to check inside, to only put it back to pick up another bag of chips.. or as the Americans called them: french fries. She blinked at his strange actions, but she was used to seeing weird things so she let it slide...

That was until she began to feel a little peeved at this man in the trenchcoat as he began to take random bottles out of their beer holsters. It was against the store policy to sell them individually without the others so she walked over slowly and smiled wryly. "Hello sir, sorry to tell you this but... these beers can not be sold individually. They have to be in their holsters, in their little pack. It is the shop's rules, and I can't go against them or I'll be fired." She explained gently, her voice had a motherly tone to it... as well as her Londoner accent, making her feel even more out of place...

She couldn't help being different - it was in her blood.

Teddy watched him, she could tell he was confused by her confrontation so she just smiled softly and nodded lightly. "Oh that's alright. I understand. You're new around here huh?" She asked with a small tilt of her head. "I guess we should make sure to put notes on the refrigerators saying that beers are to be bought by pack, not individually." She said before watching as he helplessly tried to put them back.

"Here, sir. I'll do it for you." She said with a gentle smile as she helped him put the bottles in the right holsters. Making sure they looked presentable enough to sell them. Teddy looked back to Castiel and grinned a little. "You want to buy a pack of them?" She asked as she pulled out a beer pack, which hadn't been touched... thankfully.

She glanced at his basket and couldn't help but giggle. "You aren't used to shopping are you?" She asked with a slight smirk before she took the beer pack to the cashier desk - making sure to shut the refrigerator door behind her as she went - she placed the pack on the desk and looked over to Castiel. "Do you want anything else before I start adding up the prices?" She asked gently, her finger hovering over the touch-screen cashing system, where she put in products and evaluated the overall price.

Teddy smiled softly at the man in front of her, on the other side of the counter. She glanced around before her eyes rested on the section where pie was, and she pointed accordingly. "Pie is just down the aisle. You should be able to find the right flavours that you need." She said curtly before she looked at the stuff he had grabbed already. "I suggest pecan, it is probably my favourite." She said with a wink before she looked to the door. She huffed a little. This guy was the first to come in for the day and she was wondering where the rest of the staff were. Sure, they were dickheads... but they still had to get the money, right?

Teddy glanced back to the man in the trenchcoat, he seemed like an odd but interesting individual. But knowing her luck, she'd only know him visually and not actually know his name or any other details. She began to tap onto the touchscreen cashier as she began to input the products he had already had in his basket, she was just getting ready so she could input the pie he needed before she got the final result.

She decided to pick up conversation by saying: "I'm not supposed to be the only staff member in here... there should be a least five of us in this shop, but no one has turned up." She said, making her worry show through her voice. The newspapers had been stating Vampire-related incidents - but only she knew that it was Vampires... call it a familiar feeling. "I hope they're alright. There has been some weird killings around here recently."

Teddy looked over to Castiel, she had peaked his interest and she liked that she had. She could discuss things with him now... but she still felt worried that she may over divulge into the issue and accidentally start talking about too many things that the poor guy probably wouldn't understand. So she just sighed and shook her head: "Some men and women have been found dead in alleyways... those damn places are not safe at night time... If I had kids that would be my first lesson to them." She looked down, sadness shown in her eyes... with her life, having kids was a long shot she knew she wouldn't be able to reach...

Teddy looked back to Castiel and she forced a shaky smile. "That would be twelve dollars." She said shakily, her throat beginning to clench within itself. 'Great... just great... now my mute side has to come to play...' She thought as she picked up the pie and the other items Castiel had picked up from the aisles and she put them in a shopping bag, placing it on the counter top as she waited for the money.

Teddy nodded and went under the counter to pick up the daily newspaper she always took from another shop just across the road. She opened it up to the main article and showed it to him. "Those five men and women were murdered by something... the police say it is just animal killings. I however, think differently-" She stated before taking a stationary highlighter out from behind the counter and she highlighted the words that stood out. "All because of what these things say." She continued her sentence once she had highlighted every word necessary.

"Throat taken out, blood drawn from them... sounds out of the ordinary to me." Teddy sighed before looking to the man. "Want to help me find out what it is that's killing them?" She asked quietly, seeing as an elderly couple had just entered, wandering over to the shopping aisles. They seemed particularly interested in the meat area while Teddy looked to the man, a sparkle in her eye.

Teddy smiled lightly. "I'm Teddy. Nice to meet you, Castiel." She said with a slight nod of her head before she looked over to the elderly couple who were still shopping. They slowly eased their way around the shop as Teddy spoke with Castiel quietly, behind the counter.

"It is better than doing nothing about it and risking more people's lives... don't you agree?" She said, tilting her head slightly before she noticed the old couple were making their way over. "I'll give you this food for free... if you help me, it'll pay for the twelve dollars... well, maybe not every dollar, I might ask for another favor afterwards." She winked before the elderly couple came up to put their food on the counter top.

"Hello Miss Wilson, it is nice to see you behind the counter once again." The old lady smiled wryly. "I try to make an appearance just to see you smile, Mrs Reid." Teddy replied with a grin, taking the couple's money and packing their stuff for them into bags.

"Have a nice day, Miss Wilson." The old man said as he and his wife left with small waves. "You too, Mr Reid." Teddy smiled before making an 'aw' sound, adding a: "They're too kind. Reminds me of home... the mannerisms here can be quite atrocious." She smiled lightly before looking to Castiel.

"So, you in?"
