ooc; SEASON TWO. EPISODE SEVEN.
Dean scanned the local paper for a lead. He circled a few lazily, not really getting the "supernatural" vibe off of them, and then his eyes fell upon a headlining article about a man named Anthony Giles who had been murdered in his own office, throat slit so deeply that part of his spinal chord was showing. But that wasn't the part that interested Dean. The article went on to describe how the crime scene had held no prints or DNA of any kind and the security cameras hadn't picked up anything. He circled it with much more vigor than the previous three and capped his pen, waiting for Sam to get back with their coffee orders. "Check it out" he announced when the younger Winchester had slid into the seat opposite him and placed two Styrofoam cups down on the table. "Anthony Giles." He tossed the paper in Sam's direction. Sam took a sip of his coffee before scanning the article Dean had circled. "Who's Anthony Giles?" "Baltimore lawyer, killed in his locked office. Cops are stumped. No prints. Nothing on the cameras either. Which means either the cameras were tampered with or"- "Invisible killer" Sam finished, leaning back in his chair.
Dean mirrored his brother's actions. "My favorite kind."

"I completely forgot about insurance." Karen Giles glanced at the IDs the boys were holding out through teary eyes. "We're very sorry to have bothered you Mrs. Giles" Sam spoke in condoling tones to Anthony's be-grieved widow. "I know it's a terrible time but our company requires that we do a separate investigation from the police." Dean took a far less roundabout approach. As soon as Karen had nodded her understanding of Sam's statement, he dove right in. "Now Mrs. Giles, did your husband mention anything strange in the last few days leading up to his death?"
Karen swallowed and blinked back a few stray tears before wiping her face with a handkerchief. "Strange?" "You know...weird. Out of the ordinary. Strange" Dean repeated before elaborating when her face remained blank. "Come on Karen. Noises, visions, that sort of thing. Anything unusual" he pressed. "Well I mean, he...he had a nightmare last night if that's what you mean" Karen finally mentioned. "What kind of nightmare" Dean questioned, leaning closer. Karen gave him a puzzled look before answering with, "he woke up in the middle of the night and said there was this woman standing at the foot of our bed but then he blinked and she was gone." Dean leaned even closer.
"Did he happen to say what she looked like?"
